Many carmakers are exploring zonal electrical architectures to save wiring and reduce weight, but this type of architecture doesn't come without challenges, which the industry is adopting techniques to solve.
This presentation will introduce the concept of zonal architecture for vehicles, where functions are grouped by proximity. And we will discuss different approaches to and steps for adopting a zonal architecture, as well as the NXP products that play a role in this new vehicle architecture concept.

Jooyang Park has been CAS(Customer Application Support) Director at NXP Semiconductors Korea since 2015, and has the technical support responsibility for automotive processors. Prior to joining NXP, Jooyang Park was the FAE managing Director for Freescale Korea. During his 15 years at Motorola and Freescale, Jooyang Park spent time doing field engineering support for Automotive MCU & analog, Korea Automotive Lab. manager and Korea FAE manager supporting automotive, industrial and consumer applications with MCU, Processor, Analog and Sensor.
