South Korea’s largest automotive E/E(electrical and electronic) technology and strategy conference, ‘Automotive Innovation Day (AID)’, will return for its 14th edition on July 2 at Suwon Convention Center. This year’s event focuses on electrification, autonomous driving, and the Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV).
The 2025 theme is “Future of Mobility - The Dawn of Software-Defined Vehicles.” Future SDVs will be defined by software and semiconductor innovations across the entire vehicle system - from battery and electric drive systems to ADAS/autonomous driving, connectivity, features and services, and overall user experience - all while ensuring safety and security.
This year’s AID will feature over 40 partner companies and more than 40 industry experts who will share their insights and solutions with 1,000 attendees across four sessions: Autonomous Driving/ADAS, SDV, Connectivity & UX, and e-Mobility.
Keynote Speakers Include:
Dr. Dirk Slama, Vice President at Bosch and Chair of the digital.auto initiative, will present “From SDV Towards the AI-Defined Vehicle,” exploring how agent-based AI reshapes vehicle experiences, development models, and HMI.
Dr. Stefan Poledna, Founder and CEO/CTO of TTTech Auto, will discuss “Safe and Secure Software-Defined Autonomy”, focusing on fail-operational architecture - vital for Level 3+ autonomy and continuously updated vehicles.
Prashant Gulati, CEO of SDVerse, will speak on “Mobility Without Silos: Building the SDV Ecosystem,” highlighting how breaking down silos and promoting interoperability is critical to accelerating SDV deployment.
Bhaktha Keshavachar, CEO of Chara Technologies, will share how Chara is revolutionizing sustainable electrification through rare-earth-free synchronous reluctance motors and proprietary control software. Soosung Lee, Managing Partner at Roland Berger Korea, will provide a strategic outlook on the EV-driven automotive industry through 2040.
Andrea Conti, Vice President at AVL, will present strategies for maximizing safety scenario coverage in autonomous driving via smart validation in both virtual and public environments. Eyran Lida, CTO of Valens Semiconductor, will address challenges in high-speed automotive connectivity such as EMI, channel dynamics, aging, and stress.
Seok-min Hong, CEO of FESCARO, will explain how their CSMS Portal delivers end-to-end digital transformation for automotive cybersecurity, solving operational inefficiencies and differentiating itself from DevSecOps and vSOC tools.
Technology Highlights:
STMicroelectronics will present “Stellar Microcontrollers for SDV and AI” and operate a live demo booth. The Stellar MCU family is optimized for SDV needs - offering high performance, reduced software complexity, and energy efficiency - alongside AI computation and edge integration for autonomous capabilities.
Future Innovation Partners (Alphabetical Order):
Aceworks, Analog Devices, Ansys Korea, AVL Korea, Cerence, Dassault Systems, Elektrobit Automotive Korea, ETAS Korea, FESCARO, FPT Software Korea, HanilProtech, Intrepid Control Systems Korea, IPG Automotive, Keysight Technologies, Microchip Technology, Mouser Electronics, PTC Korea, QNX, Qt Group, Rohde & Schwarz Korea, ROHM Semiconductor Korea, RTI, Slexn, TASKING, Techways, Tektronix Korea, Texas Instruments Korea, TFactory, Treeze, Valens Semiconductor, Vector Korea IT, Vicor Corporation, VWAY - will host presentations and demos covering SDV, autonomous driving, UX, and e-mobility.
